Welcome, and thank you for visiting my site.

I have been composing music since 1979 and specialise in 'modern classical' outputs. As an ex-French horn player I have written a couple of concertos for that instrument along with numerous horn trios and quartets. I write for a broad range of instruments but my preferred method for conveying musical thoughts is via full symphony orchestra, sometimes with accompanying voices. Various of my compositions have been recorded and broadcast on the radio.

I started my musical life at Gordon's School, Surrey, England in 1961. I joined the British Army as a musician in 1965 and attended the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall, as a pupil in 1967/68 and then as a student bandmaster from 1975 to 1978. I served six years as the Bandmaster of the 1st Bn The Royal Anglian Regiment before taking voluntary redundancy due to defence cuts decimating British army music. Since that time I have qualified and worked as a psychologist whilst maintaining a regular musical output and working with numerous musical groups and organisations.
